Full Stack Engineer

Job Description:

As a Software Engineer, you will get the opportunity to develop your skills, collaborate across Fidelity teams and continue to learn in a fun, collaborative, iterative, and rapidly changing environment.

This is a hands-on role where you will implement solutions for product features. You will work closely with the technical lead and senior engineers to build secure, scalable, resilient cloud-based services utilizing modern software development practices. As a technical member of your team, you will develop key feature that can contribute to overall product development.

The Team

The squad is responsible for applications supporting backend services and APIs, and front-end components.

The Expertise You Have

• Experience in Java / Spring boot / Spring Core / Web Services (REST) / Kubernetes orchestration / GraphQL 
• Experience in Api management using Swagger and OpenAPI with knowledge in Integration Technology Java Camel
• Experience in JSP, HTML, CSS/SASS, Angular 8 or higher, NodeJS, Jasmine, Protractor, Storybook. 
• Experience with Test Driven Development, JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, Jest, and Protractor. 
• IDE’s Spring Tool Suite, and Eclipse/IntelliJ, within a UNIX and Windows environment. 
• Application build, deploy using Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools -- Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, etc. 
• Understanding of docker, cloud-computing / cloud services platforms (e.g. AWS or azure) is favourable.

• A solid foundation in software engineering – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, in computer science or engineering.
• Possess analytical thinking skills to solve technical challenges.
• Passionate and committed to learning new things and developing with the latest technologies and frameworks.
• Work well in a small agile team with support from senior and lead engineers, having a strong user focus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to handle assigned tasks.
• Participate in engineering practices such as code and design reviews, environment strategy, and build and deployment pipeline.
