The Purpose of this Role

Asset Management Technology (AMT) provides worldwide technology and support to all the Investment Management, Research, Trading and Investment Operations functions. We are seeking a Squad Lead, Quant Products to join our Quantitative Research & Investing Technology team in a senior team leadership. This role will have product oversight for complex and fast-paced quantitative development team supporting the quantitative solutioning needs. This individual will partner with other Fidelity business and technology leaders to identify and define strategic priorities based on an understanding of business value needs and enable execution of these initiatives. Individual is expected to actively bring new ideas, approaches, and insights to improve the contributions of his/her team and enable them to develop new capabilities. You are committed to ongoing development of your own expertise and product development knowledge to bring critical thinking to your team to build world class quant products.

Role Expectations

• Drive product requirements, prioritization for multiple Squads working closely with key business and technology stakeholders.

• Drive clarity in requirements with a well laid out plan which would require to build deep domain and system expertise.

• Ability to deal with evolving business needs and demonstrate leadership to manage ambiguity.

• Establish, deliver, and refine a product roadmap working closely with key business and technology stakeholders across groups.

• Provide thought leadership to identify and pursue new opportunities through an ideation mindset.

• Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously, while balancing business priorities and quality.

• Demonstrate value driven mindset to influence both business and technology to build consensus around prioritization and planning.

The Skills and Expertise that are Key to this role:

• 10+ years of industry experience in business analysis, analytics, design, and development of solutions in multiple technology platforms.

• Proven track record of being hard-working and “get-it-done” attitude!

• Strong aptitude for investment finance, statistics, risk and associated concepts.

• Experience building quantitative portfolio construction tools.

• Experience using optimizers/solvers to speed up portfolio decision making and execution.

• Experience to Risk Management functional area with an understanding of Risk Models.

• Ability to build partnerships with cross-functional teams and facilitate interactions with engineering, data, product, and support teams.

• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining software products and solutions.

• Leadership qualities with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and high degree of demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills.

• JIRA & Confluence proficiency and familiarization with different agile practices (Kanban, Lean etc.) with ability to align stories through to EPICs and underpinning business strategy is required.

• Ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members.

• SQL and data analysis experience. 

• Intellectual curiosity with a history of mentoring and influencing.

• MBA/CFA charter holder preferred.
