The Individual we are seeking is responsible for developing, overseeing, strategizing, leading technology direction & decisions for the growth and success of our products in Spend and Save domain. This would require strong technical proficiency and implementing long term strategic technical plans to drive our business. You would be working closely with squad leaders, chapter leaders, other stakeholders & to manage, deliver and enhance business outcomes. By role modeling and promoting Fidelity and Agile leadership behaviors, you will create and sustain an innovative agile culture.

The Purpose of Your Role

Our team builds capabilities that support Fidelity’s large scale digital presence and transformation to latest cloud technologies. You will help us design, develop re-usable applications, establish standards and optimize quality and deployment practices. You’ll contribute to the entire development lifecycle from concept to deployment as a member of an agile, cross-functional team. The Skills that are Key to this Role

• 15+ years of hands on software development & technical leadership experience in Java/J2EE, Web services, API & Cloud solutions.

• You have deep understanding & hands-on with open-source distributed technology, Micro services, Stream processing & proven examples to drive our technical strategy (Java, REST API, GraphAPI,  Micronaut, Testing frameworks, AWS)

• Experience in documenting APIs leveraging an API documentation framework

• Experience in state-of-the-art tools and methods to enable efficiency, performance and agility through automating DevOps processes, continuous integration and delivery pipelines (Maven, Jenkins, Github, Docker)

• Experience in leading from a technology front a large modernization or transformation program (mainframe modernization to cloud adds value)

• Knowledge of public and private cloud capabilities including compute, storage, database and analytics (SQL, NoSQL, Graph databases)

• Leadership & Strong strategic execution skills aligning with organization goals and objectives

• Implemented process improvements & best practices to optimize the current performances.

• You have performed research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and innovation

• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to align and ensure seamless execution.

• You are an expert in cloud engineering to assess the cloud providers, FinOps and suggest the right direction to the team.

• You promote positive and inclusive work environment that encourages employee engagement, high performance, and improved competencies.

• You have experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stake holders, multiple teams, including clients, vendors, and partners.

• You demonstrate strong fundamentals on Agile way of doing programs.

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.

• You demonstrate strong understanding of patterns, principles, and solution delivery.

• Knowledge of web application development using JSP, HTML, CSS/SASS, JQuery, Angular, Flex and NodeJS.

Primary Responsibilities

• Hands-on to build capabilities & solutions

• Come up with standards/governance process and drive the same across teams

• Work closely with the squad leader, chapter leader & enterprise architecture to lead the technical decisions and solution development

• Work closely with various stake holders to review the features, identify opportunities, epics and help define ‘how’ these could be executed with roadmap.

• Design and architect complex solutions on a platform dedicated to high scale processing of large amounts of data

• Mentor and direct team members on technology and specific design; Own issues and provide end-to-end solutions

• Continuously evaluate and prototype emerging technologies within developer community to understand business value and feasibility.

Educational & Experience

• Bachelors or any equivalent degree with computer science background.

• 15 plus years of relevant experience

Location: Chennai

Shift timings: 11 am to 8 pm
