Data Engineer (Snowflake, PowerBI, OBIEE)

Data Engineer

Fidelity Investments Workplace Investments (WI) organization is looking for a Data Engineer Engineer to help build a Data and Reporting platform in the cloud to support equity compensation products for the Global markets. This person will play a key role in building, testing and release of product features in Agile delivery fashion.

The Team

You will be part of the technology team in Stock Plan Services business unit that administers equity compensation programs on behalf of public and private companies offering various compensations programs such as: Employee Stock Purchase Plans, Restricted Stock Awards/Units, Stock Option Plans, Stock Appreciation Rights and Performance based Awards. Currently SPS services approx. 2M participants employed by over 300 clients and spread out in 150 countries. The business is looking to further expand in the international equity compensation markets. As part of that we are modernizing our legacy reporting and business intelligence platform to provide data and reports in real-time running on cloud-ready stack.

The Business Intelligence Engineer works with the Product Owner, architects, and other engineers to design and build data reporting solutions using business intelligence tools like OBIE , Power BI or Both and Informatica/Snowflake . You bring knowledge and expertise using reporting and reporting UI solutions.

The Expertise You Have

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required.

· 2+ Years of Business Intelligence (OBIE/ Power BI) Engineering working Experience

· working knowledge of OBIEE/Power BI Development

· Experience working with Power BI Desktop, Paginated Reports and/or Power BI Rest APIs

· Working experience in Informatica/Snowflake

· Experience of Airflow or REST API

· Experience with Azure or other public cloud providers

· Experience with Python

· working knowledge of Relational Databases such as Oracle

· Experience with PL/SQL and complex queries, views, packages etc.

· Experience with cloud native data warehousing and data lake solutions using Snowflake, Redshift, etc.

· Knowledge of batch job scheduling and dependency management using BMC Control-M for distributed systems

· Your skills in data intensive application development, data integration, and data pipeline design patterns on a distributed platform.

· Nice to have experience with Tableau
