Impact In This Role

We are looking for a seasoned leader to lead our software engineering team in India. You will be the local leader responsible for ensuring organizational effectiveness and growing the organization as needed. As the engineering head for our India organization, you will be involved in engineering leadership and strategy from the outset

You will report to the Head of Software Engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build a high-performing organization where engineers can do their best work
• Lead and deliver on strategic initiatives by creating clarity and aligning organizational efforts
• Establish and continually improve team processes to enable iterative delivery, innovation, and high reliability
• Drive near- and long-term improvements to engineering-wide activities such as development practices, hiring / onboarding, team cohesion, and incident response
• Resolve systemic obstacles to team health, system performance, and team delivery 
• Embrace and extend a culture of transparency, safety, and growth

Desired Traits

• 20+ years of experience in software engineering teams
• 4+ years of experience as a Director or above leading an engineering department
• Prior experience as a technical leader for a business-critical cloud-based software system
• Prior experience in the manufacturing business domain
• Demonstrated success in building organizations and managing managers of multiple teams 
• Proven experience recruiting and developing top talent
• Experience leading remote distributed teams
