Fair Isaac Corporation seeks a full-time Solution Engineering - Senior Engineer. Telecommuting available from anywhere in US. HQ at Bozeman, MT. The Solution Engineering - Senior Engineer works across North America, coordinating various business stakeholders within the Clients’ and FICO’s project teams to analyze, capture, document, and prioritize business requirements that will service clients using or to be using FICO’s products. This position is an integral part of the technical team responsible for implementation of FICO Solutions comprised of FICO products and customized frameworks. The Solution Engineering - Senior Engineer aids in conducting a detailed analysis of business requirements and works closely with the client’s business staff and FICO’s Project Managers and Application Architects to ensure the resulting business requirements specification satisfies the business need. The position utilizes global experience in the business solution design and implementation of complex, large-scale and strategic projects, and is the primary point of knowledge on FICO’s products and how to integrate them with client’s applications and platform. The position works closely with product development, product management, and sales / pre-sales team(s) to deliver significant value to clients. Specific duties include the following: 1) Use professional experience and techniques to obtain from stakeholders clear and unambiguous technical requirements. 2) Create precise documentation of prioritized technical requirements that can be directly converted to test plans. 3) Liaise with FICO’s technical resources to assist them in delivery of the technical specifications. 4) Configure FICO products using the appropriate application or 3rd party tooling as required. 5) Understand and communicate both business and technical objectives from multiple perspectives, including client view, internal development view, and operational and support view. 6) Provide functional leadership on implementation projects and perform detailed business tasks at client sites primarily in the United States. 7) Work and balance multiple high-profile projects simultaneously, responding to changing priorities and expectations dynamically. 8) Seek out, contribute, and implement ideas for process improvements, more efficient use of resources, product enhancements, improved communications, and quicker issue resolution. 9) Participate in quality assurance test planning, technical publications development, system design sessions, implementation planning, and other phases of software development lifecycle as needed. 10) Utilize experience working in the financial industry with banking lifecycles and leveraging origination processes to evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes and suggest improvements to business process. 11) Collaborate with peers to ‘productize’ solutions, enabling a ‘mass customization’ operational approach to future opportunities. 12) Provide project oversight for developers responsible for individual domains and project leadership for cross-functional teams that analyze designs and implement architecture projects. 13) Lead the analysis of new and existing architectures, specifies long term direction, and ensures engineering platforms meet throughout and reliability expectations. 14) Analyze and document customer requirements and produce high-level technical designs. 15) Understand integration of various technical platforms, use industry scenarios to select the architecture, technology and/or products to align the priorities of IT with the business and provides the business solution across all domains. Ensures the technical integrity and quality of the custom developed solutions. 16) Serve as technical expert for clients in program/project system architectures by ensuring there are no gaps or inconsistencies in the initial system architecture and that none emerge as the system is designed, built and/or enhanced over time. 17) Build relationships with a broad spectrum of stakeholders from within the project. Leverage these relationships effectively to validate assumptions, acquire useful information, negotiate among competing objectives, resolve issues, manage change, agree to direction, and achieve consensus. 18) Provide specialized technical training and support services for FICO software solutions in the United States. 19) Provide sales support when needed to the FICO sales team. 20) Provide estimates for the development and delivery of solutions. Provide project oversight for developers responsible for individual domains and project leadership for cross-functional teams that analyze designs and implement architecture projects. This position requires travel (domestic) 30% of the time. May telecommute from any location in the U.S. HQ at Bozeman, MT.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 8 years of related progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in business solution design of complex, large-scale and strategic projects. Must also have 4 years of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: 1) Implementing financial originations, customer/account management, collections, or fraud related systems/solutions, including analyzing, capturing, documenting, and prioritizing business requirements, including collaborating with technical architects, configuring product demos, and presenting technical concepts to internal and external customers and leading two or more complex projects simultaneously. 2) Architecture design models and data structures, along with the delivery of technical project(s) involving significant onsite stakeholder interaction. 3) Both technical infrastructure and software architecture and business consulting experience working with external customers. 4) Platform services (AWS, SaaS, Java – EJB’s, Web Services, SOA Knowledge) as it pertains to architecting solutions. 5) Application Servers (IBM WebSphere ND, Tomcat, Micro Focus Enterprise, Micro Focus Visual COBOL, WebLogic, or J-Boss) and database technologies (MS SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle). 6) Web based technologies (HTML, XML, JSP, Servlet, or JSF). 7) Defining, designing and applying decisioning tools including Fico Blaze Advisor, Rule Maintenance Application, Decision Modeler on Decision Management Platform, Customer Management Decision system) to on-premise and/or cloud based solutions. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Experience must have been acquired after completion of the Bachelor’s Degree program. This position requires travel (domestic) 30% of the time.
