The Opportunity

What You'll Contribute

  • You have an opportunity to be part of a world-class DevOps engineering team to empower our product and engineering organization to innovate at the speed of business.
  • You will contribute to developing a DevOps Engineering Systems through building strong relationship with DevOps Enablement team, change management team, Product and Engineering, Global Technology Services, cyber security, education, and professional services organizations.
  • Embracing a shift-left approach, you will be deeply engaged in all phases of the development lifecycle. This includes tasks such as estimating, requirement gathering, design, implementation, and conducting code reviews across all levels to ensure comprehensive coverage and automated testing.
  • You will report to DevOps Quality Engineering Lead and will be an integral part of scrum teams involved in a wide range of activities such as working with stakeholders and customers, developing test automation frameworks and test scripts.
  • You will partner closely with the DevOps enablement SMEs such as Automation SMEs, Security SMEs to architect, design and implement One Engineering System, then guide and help Product and Engineering teams to adopt One Engineering System.
  • You will also work with Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve the DevOps process through frequent feedback loops.
  • You will work with the product architecture lead, security lead and global technology services lead to evaluate and adopt the best testing tools and integrate them to FICO pipeline and Platform pipeline.
  • You need to use data to inform decision making.  Analyze data for trends and potential pain points and use this to prioritize and inform how to improve quality in your responsible engineering product.
  • You need to gather feedback from key stakeholders and provide recommendations on the best way to advance your team’s objectives.
  • You will be responsible for building the Quality system as part of One Engineering System to be used by our product engineering organization that builds the world class FICO platform.
  • You will contribute to our mission which is to be at the heart of our clients’ operations, from accelerating digital transformation to breaking down organizational silos to broadening credit access.   • Ideal candidate leads by example to embrace DevOps culture and mindset including culture of experimentation, collaboration, co-create, continuous improvement, and outcome over output.
  • Ideal candidate has comprehensive expertise covering all aspects of DevOps, directly or indirectly impacting product quality. This includes proficiency in software testing, automated processes, quick display of test results at each stage, CI/CD workflows and related areas.
  • Ideal candidate should be able to skillfully and accurately define testing strategies, select appropriate tools, build frameworks with deeply understanding of design technology and delivery processes to help create high-quality products.
  • The ideal candidate can identify infrastructure-related issues before they cause failures. Having the ability to set required counters (e.g. performance baselines, resource utilization) provides insight into the end-user experience and ensures the stability of the infrastructure all the time.
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience working asynchronously in a remote, distributed team. Experience working global teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with clear verbal communication as well as written communication skills.
  • A highly empathic DevOps practitioner who can interact with Product and Engineering teams with a growth mindset.
  • Collaborative style: partners well with cross-functional teams solve hard problems and to complete complex deliverables with quality and business outcome.
  • Ability to work across organizations with Product management, Product Engineering, Cyber Security, UX, Global Technology Services, Legal, education and professional services.
  • Strong Experience in software automation, software quality including test automation, software development, product engineering, DevOps engineering, or equivalent experience with a proven ability to work in a product and engineering organization.
  • K8S, AWS, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Java, GitHub, kafka, Open-Source working experience is highly preferred.
  • Test automation and Application Security (DevSecOps) experience is highly preferred.
  • ArgoCD and CrossPlane knowledge and experience is highly preferred.
  • A calm and problem-solving personality when dealing with production issues is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in highly related field; Advanced degree a plus.
