Our Community Platform underlies some of the world's most iconic fan knowledge bases, including communities built around pop culture phenomena like Star Wars, Minecraft, Marvel Comics, and thousands of others. We are looking for a Staff Mobile Software Engineer to serve as a technical cornerstone of our mobile domain, providing architectural ownership and driving innovation in a highly scalable and concurrent environment.

You will work autonomously within a Scrum environment, helping guide a team of engineers to deliver high-impact features while ensuring long-term system maintainability and resilience. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Fandom's mobile experience through strategic technical influence and architectural excellence.

You Will...

  • Lead the long-term technical strategy and vision for the mobile domain, ensuring architecture is scalable and future-proof
  • Own and drive complex, cross-team strategic initiatives that span multiple systems and organisational boundaries
  • Partner closely with Product and Design to define roadmaps, surfacing technical constraints and alternative solutions early to improve business outcomes
  • Scale your impact through formal mentorship of engineers and by establishing engineering-wide best practices for KMP and Compose

You Have...

  • At least 4+ years of experience in Cross Platform Mobile Engineering, preferably in Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and Jetpack Compose.
  • Proven track record of architectural leadership and end-to-end ownership of critical, high-impact systems
  • Strong soft skills with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and mentor emerging leaders
  • Experience driving technical quality, maintainability, and resilience across large-scale mobile applications
  • A collaborative mindset, thriving in cross-functional environments and solving complex, ambiguous problems
  • Demonstrated capability using generative AI tools (e.g., ClaudeCode, GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity, paired with the ability to critically audit and verify outputs for accuracy, security, and context.

Bonus Points...

  • Proven track record of driving cross-team strategic initiatives and organisational-level technical impact.
  • Proven track record of, or ability to be self-sufficient in, backend architecture and implementation using Java Spring.
  • Are passionate about pop culture (Movies, Games, TV Shows, Anime, etc.)

Benefits & Perks

  • Entry Salary = 252k PLN
  • MacBook Pro and all the gear you need for work
  • Free access to a multitude of popular online courses and books sponsored by our company
