Description
Fanatics is looking for a Director of Architecture to take on the following primary responsibilities:
 
  • Help define technology strategy and enterprise architecture road-map for Fanatics e-commerce, retail and wholesale verticals
  • Architect, design and implement cloud commerce solutions covering business functions such as:
    • supply chain and merchandising
    • product information and catalog management
    • inventory management and optimization
    • demand generation, marketing, pricing, promotions
    • order management and payments
    • warehouse management and fulfillment
    • customer service and reverse logistics
    • finance and accounting
    • ensure compliance, security and governance for systems, business processes and data assets
  • You will negotiate with stakeholders and collaborate with senior leaders across the organization. Effective communication is as important as technical competency. You'll have the opportunity to delve into complex business process optimization challenges. For example, you may discover a better way to orchestrate and execute a hot-market to launch new products – a business process that cuts across many domains.
  • You are passionate about leveraging technology and data to enable a great end-to-end experience for customers; and you recognize that success in business requires consistent delivery, operational excellence, and predictable financial performance.
You have a good understanding of, and experience in, the following areas:
 
  • Architecture and design of distributed systems
  • Resilience engineering, business continuity
  • Data governance, change management, compliance and security
  • Data platforms for analytics, predictive modeling and reporting
  • Master data curation and data quality management
  • Agile processes, continuous integration, quality engineering
  • Utility computing, cloud platforms, services and infrastructure
  • You have a BS/BE or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture with 4+ being in a management role
  • Experience managing engineering departments or engineering functions, overseeing large and complex technology and processes.
