Define and own the long-term technology vision and multi-year strategy for the core digital experience, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and growth plans; Provide executive-level leadership across multiple engineering teams and domains, setting organizational standards for delivery, quality, and technical excellence; Partner with C-level and VP leadership to translate business strategy into scalable technology initiatives, investment plans, and resourcing models; Oversee architecture and platform strategy across multiple product lines (e.g., live commerce, digital collectibles, B2B platforms), ensuring consistency, interoperability, and long-term scalability; Drive organizational design and workforce planning, including succession planning, leadership development, and hiring strategy for senior engineering leaders; Establish and govern engineering operating models, including development lifecycle standards, performance metrics, and continuous improvement frameworks; Own portfolio-level prioritization of major technical initiatives, balancing innovation, technical debt reduction, risk management, and time-to-market; Lead large-scale transformation initiatives, such as platform modernization, cloud strategy, and internalization of critical systems previously owned by third parties; Set and enforce company-wide best practices for security, compliance, reliability, and resiliency, in partnership with legal, security, and infrastructure teams; Manage enterprise-level vendor and strategic partner relationships, including contract negotiations, performance governance, and long-term dependency reduction; Champion a data- and outcomes-driven culture by defining KPIs at the organizational level and ensuring consistent measurement of business and customer impact; Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on technology risk, innovation opportunities, and emerging industry trends; Represent engineering leadership in cross-functional executive forums, influencing company-wide decisions that affect product, operations, and customer experience. Up to 5% domestic travel may be required for meetings. Partial telecommuting permitted; on-site at 11601 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 400, Los Angeles, CA 90025 when not telecommuting. Salary: $287,000 - $307,000 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 6 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any occupation, job title, or position collaborating with cross-functional business teams to drive process improvements and optimize customer experiences.

Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and product leaders to align priorities, define expectations, and translate requirements into effective deliverables; 5 years of professional experience utilizing data-driven methodologies, including KPI definition, A/B testing, cohort analysis, and dashboard-based reporting using analytics tools (including SQL-based data analysis and business intelligence platforms), to establish metrics, measure feature success, and track performance improvements over time; 5 years of professional experience owning end-to-end technical direction, including architecture, scalability, resiliency, and security, for large-scale systems; 5 years of professional experience collaborating with engineering and product leads across diverse business units to optimize customer experiences; 4 years of professional experience developing and executing product roadmaps and long-term technical strategies for scalable software platforms, incorporating cross-functional stakeholder alignment, iterative delivery frameworks (including Agile methodologies), and data-informed prioritization to support evolving business objectives in dynamic environments; 4 years of professional experience building and fostering internal engineering teams while internalizing critical technical functions previously supported by third parties; 4 years of professional experience scaling and leading teams responsible for core digital experience; 4 years of professional experience supporting and managing vendor relationships, including partner platforms and software services, to enhance digital experiences; 3 years of professional experience evaluating and integrating emerging technologies including AI/ML, cloud-native systems, real time streaming, to strengthen platform capabilities.
