Our Deep Sector Oil & Gas data team specializes in delivering comprehensive datasets covering wells, pipelines, refineries, LNG terminals, and other critical components of the global energy value chain. By delivering timely and accurate data for a wide range of publicly-trade and private entities, our team equips industry leaders with the information needed to optimize strategies and seize opportunities in the market. What You'll Do

As a Senior Oil and Gas Data Specialist, you will be responsible for two or more Deep Sector Oil & Gas data products. Your primary focus will be U.S. interstate natural gas pipeline nominations, major corridor flows, and daily natural gas prices. Additional duties may be adjusted based on user feedback and business requirements. This position requires data management experience with a solid foundation in data modeling, programmatic data acquisition and processing, and designing robust data pipelines. Oil & Gas data specialists are also expected to stay up to date with sector developments, providing knowledgeable support to product end users by keeping up with industry news, market dynamics, and key industry players and regulatory bodies.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience working with large databases, building data pipelines, and automating workflows.
  • Advanced proficiency with Python and SQL (certifications preferred).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.

Desired Skills:

  • A results-oriented and client-centric approach.
  • Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively with teams.
  • Experience in quantitative/statistical modeling, machine learning, and/or agentic workflows.
  • GIS knowledge is a plus.

    Salary is just one component of our compensation package and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. 

    The budgeted salary range for this position in the State of Colorado is $80,000 - $100,000.
