Job Overview:
We're looking for a seasoned Data Architect to lead our data modernization efforts. You will design and govern the blueprint for our new, high-availability data platform, guiding us as we migrate from legacy systems and optimize for the future. This is a high-impact, hands-on consulting role where you'll collaborate across teams to build a unified, best-in-class data framework.
Key Responsibilities:
● Design the Future: Create the target-state data architecture, including flow diagrams, storage schemas, and integration models.
● Optimize & Modernize: Assess and enhance our current SQL Server Always-On deployments and guide the migration to a modern platform.
● Build the Framework: Define and standardize data integration, job orchestration (Kafka, GCP Dataflow, Pub/Sub), indexing, partitioning, and governance.
● Ensure Quality: Implement robust frameworks for data validation, lineage, and reconciliation.
● Mentor & Lead: Guide DBAs, developers, and analysts on data modeling, ETL, and integration best practices.
Requirements:
● A seasoned expert with 10+ years in Data Architecture or Database Design, preferably in finance or data services.
● A Microsoft SQL Server specialist with deep experience in SSIS, ETL, and advanced data modeling.
● Cloud-savvy with working knowledge of GCP, AWS, or Azure.
● Experienced with data lakes, data warehousing, and modern data stacks.
● Familiar with streaming technologies (Kafka, Pub/Sub), CDC, and API-driven microservices.
● A strong communicator who can translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
● Bonus: Knowledge of Python, Power BI, and data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK).
