Position Summary:

F5 Distributed Cloud Bot Defense team comprises of security and web experts, pioneers, evangelists, and elite researchers. The Bot SaaS Systems team is responsible for building self-service capabilities and SaaSify F5 Distributed Cloud Bot Defense. This involves designing, building, operationalizing, automating, testing and maintaining various systems. These systems support multi-tenancy, telemetry and billing, policy management, and other capabilities inherent to Bot Defense solution. This will enable customers to secure Apps and APIs everywhere. Bot Defense protects 4+ billion transactions per week from imitation attacks, so you can imagine the scale at which we operate.

As a Software Engineer, you will work on projects critical to our needs with opportunities to create innovative cloud-native solutions. The result of your work can be seen on hundreds of millions of devices worldwide. This is a role with substantial opportunity to learn, grow, and expand your skill set.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate within team and with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality code.

• Research, design, develop, deploy, and maintain frameworks and cloud-native applications.

• Document software designs via functional specifications and other design documents.

• Proactively and openly communicate status, plan-of-action, and resolution of issues.

• Collaborate with Conduct presentations internal and external.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years experienced graduate with CS background or equivalent professional experience.

• Hands on experience with Gitlab CI/CD pipeline integrations and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent automation skills and expertise with any of the programming languages such as GO, Java, Python

• Experience with any of the cloud technologies (AWS, GCP), microservices and Kubernetes deployments.

• Familiarity with Application controllers and Load Balancers like AWS NLB, Nginx, GCP LB, Service Mesh

• Help to recreate customer issues, verification and automation of test scenarios.

• Exposure to Performance tests and traffic tools for calibrations.

• Can collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced high-performance environment.

• Can dive-in the existing code base, gain knowledge and fix bugs in those functional areas.

• Can test your own code by writing unit and integration tests.
