Computer Vision Engineer, Aerial Autonomy

Location: Ramat-Gan, Israel (IL)

Experience Level: Senior

Description

eyesAtop builds a multi-drone control platform for safe operations, clear situational awareness, and real-time decision support in dynamic, high-risk environments.

Our tech supports military teams with a safe, easy-to-use operating system, creating impact every day in the field.

We are looking for an experienced Computer Vision Engineer to join our Algorithms team and develop advanced perception capabilities for autonomous aerial systems. In this role, you'll combine classical computer vision, deep learning and 3D scene understanding to enable robust navigation and autonomous decision-making in real-world environments.

What you'll do

  • Design, implement and improve vision-based situational awareness systems that give aircraft and ground operators a unified, real-time understanding of the operational environment
  • Build and maintain a shared world model across the fleet - fusing perception data from multiple aircraft into a coherent 3D representation that all agents can query and act on
  • Develop semantic scene understanding to power onboard autonomy and off-board mission planning
  • Design multi-agent perception architectures that aggregate observations across the fleet, resolve conflicting views, and maintain a consistent, up-to-date environmental state
  • Implement object detection, tracking and classification pipelines that feed the shared world model - covering dynamic obstacles, terrain, infrastructure and other aircraft
  • Take perception and situational awareness capabilities from initial concept and simulation through live flight experiments and production deployment
  • Collaborate with flight controllers, system engineers and operations teams, iterating rapidly on real-world flight data and operational edge cases
  • Combine classical computer vision with modern deep learning to build robust, latency-aware perception across diverse environments and conditions
  • Own the full lifecycle - from algorithm design and simulation through onboard and offboard deployment, tuning and ongoing production improvements

Requirements

  • M.Sc. in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline
  • 4+ years of experience developing computer vision, perception or autonomy algorithms for production systems
  • Strong background in classical computer vision and modern deep learning approaches
  • Hands-on experience with object detection, SLAM, visual odometry or 3D perception
  • Experience taking algorithms from research into real-world environments
  • Experience implementing algorithms in Python or C++
  • Comfortable working closely with hardware, sensors and real-time constraints
  • Experience working with modern neural network architectures and trained models

Nice to Have

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field
  • Experience with drones, aerial systems or autonomous robotics
  • Experience with visual navigation, perception-driven control, sensor fusion or GNSS-denied navigation
  • Experience with simulation-to-real workflows and live flight testing
  • Linux development and debugging experience
