The Supply Partner Experience (SPX) Partner & Identity team is responsible for providing common platform capabilities, services, toolkits, infrastructures, and best practices that power SPX product development. We continuously raise the bar on our engineering and operational practices. Our services are key to running the business, and we are on the critical path for driving Expedia's experience platform adoption, identity and partner domain initiatives. 

What You’ll Do

  • You will write code that is clean, maintainable, optimized, modular with good naming conventions. You will also use software frameworks to write simpler code
  • You will lead/clarify code evolution in code reviews
  • You will share new skills and knowledge with team to increase effectiveness
  • You will understand the relationship between applications, databases and technology platforms
  • You will coordinate bringing together different stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop solutions to issues and contributes own suggestions
  • You will team up with peers across the organization to build an understanding of cross dependencies and shared problem solving
  • You will spot areas of inefficiency in code or systems operation and offer suggestions for improvements
  • You will compile and generate reports on major operational or technical initiatives (like RCAs) to larger groups, whether via written or oral means

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or Masters in a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience
  • Strong software development experience on building high scalable distributed software systems with Java or Node.js
  • Able to create API's (Restful APIs or GraphQL APIs) to be consumed across business units
  • Able to design moderately complex systems
  • Able to select among technology available to implement and solve for need
  • Able to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience working with AWS/Cloud infrastructure
  • Prior experience as a Software Engineer mentoring junior engineers and applying new engineering principles to improve existing systems including leading complex, well defined projects

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $137,500.00 to $192,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.  Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
