A singular technology platform powered by data and machine learning provides secure, differentiated, and personalized experiences for the traveler and our partners that drive loyalty and customer satisfaction.

We, in the Expedia Group’s Strategic Partnerships and Affiliates Team, are building the next-generation, scalable B2B partnership platform that will power hundreds of thousands of demand partners across the industry ranging from big businesses to small bloggers and micro influencers in helping them recommend Expedia Group brands to their audiences and in the process grow their businesses. We aim to redefine the travel partnerships sector by building innovative partner tools and solutions that incorporates the new ways in which today’s travelers discover and shop travel products.

In this role, your expertise and passion for innovation, developing cutting-edge technology and implementing industry-leading solutions, will improve the experience of millions of travelers and travel partners each year. You will work with a geo-distributed, cross functional team of 20+ engineers designing and developing solutions for complex problems with a wide-reaching business impact.

In this role, you will:

• Build scalable design and architectures with modern frameworks
• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Develop, test, own and deliver Sprint tasks and help drive the team forward
• Identify risks, and issues & drive them to mitigation/resolution as required in the scope of your work
• Prototype ideas, execute and learn from them and enrich the overall team experience
• Apply software design principles, data structures and/or design patterns and computer science fundamentals to write code that is clean, maintainable, modular with good naming conventions

Experience and qualifications:

• You have a Bachelor's or master's degree in a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
• You have 2+ years of professional, post-college, software development experience with Java, Scala or a similar object-oriented language.
• Capable of leading complex technical projects that drive alignment and consensus across multiple functional areas.
• You are dedicated to delivering high-quality, optimized code for a distributed architecture
• Knowledge of event driven architecture and tools like Kafka
• You can test, debug, and fix issues within established SLAs
• You have excellent communication skills with the ability to work well with a distributed team.
• Willingness to learn and come up with creative solutions
