Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering, Delivery Platform

What you will do:
You will be a technology leader on the Edge Platform team, responsible for providing traffic management, routing and self service tooling to the Expedia developer community.
You will advocate for performance, quality and reliability and install best practices in your team in all parts of the dev lifecycle.
Create a positive work environment based on accountability and inclusiveness, in partnership with peers on the leadership team. Lead by example, mentor the team, and establish credibility through quality technical execution
Play a key role in the analysis, design, architecture, development and stability of EG’s Edge Platform.
Delivers and influences product roadmap, working in collaboration with product and other platform teams.
Manage and lead the product development lifecycle to reduce time to market, improve product quality and ensure product success.
Lead others in resolving technical issues in a timely manner; follow up with customers to ensure best possible experience for the platform users
Partner with the business to integrate new technologies into business solutions; create and communicate a vision of the technology requirements for the future state of the business
Who you are:
Someone who can make a startup team successful, with proven experience in leadership and team building across different locations
Excellent communication skills with stakeholders within the business
8+ years software development experience in enterprise software
The utmost passion for both technology and leadership
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
Experience in delivering end to end software services
Good experience with programming languages and best practices for web development
Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS)
Expertise in agile software development methodologies and their adoption within teams, with a focus on resiliency and automation
Excellent organizational skills - able to translate between technical and business group, bring forward a vision or opinion
Ability to lead multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize decisions and tasks effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
