OVERVIEW

Location: Remote, preferred Boston, MA or Dayton, OH 
 
As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead and oversee the performance of multiple or large-scale technical projects, or major portions of complex programs, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policies. You will manage technical direction through the full project lifecycle, including design, implementation, and testing, while supervising experienced professionals and coordinating cross-functional teams. In this role, you will be the single point of contact for assigned projects, interfacing with internal departments, clients, and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. You will also play a key role in shaping project strategies, evaluating methods, and recommending process improvements. In addition to project execution, you will support business development efforts by leading proposals and identifying new opportunities. Your leadership will extend to staff oversight, policy adherence, and driving success across technical and operational objectives.  

RESPONSIBILTIES

    • Manage the execution of large or complex technical projects and ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget 

    • Define project objectives and develop detailed work plans, timelines, estimates, and resource allocations 

    • Supervise and provide guidance to experienced professionals across technical disciplines and departments 

    • Direct the technical design, development, implementation, and testing activities of assigned projects 

    • Lead project meetings, monitor progress, and resolve risks or roadblocks to ensure successful delivery 

    • Oversee the integration and tracking of vendor tasks, ensuring high-quality, on-time deliverables 

    • Provide technical and analytical leadership to project teams, fostering collaboration and innovation 

    • Conduct performance evaluations, recommend personnel actions, and enforce adherence to company policies 

    • Interface with stakeholders, end users, and internal departments to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction 

    • Lead or contribute to new business proposals and identify follow-on opportunities for growth 

    • Evaluate and recommend changes to project management methods, tools, or procedures to improve outcomes 

    • Provide technical support to operational strategies aligned within your program and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across all program functions 

    • Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded 

    • Identify and forward to your leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth within your work area 

    • Participate in growth efforts as requested 

    • Ensure all contractual deliverables are met/exceeded to the customer's satisfaction 

    • Complete personal PDP and attend Company Meeting (with camera on) 

    • Within your program, build productive and positive professional relationships with clients 

    • Execute all contract requirements as assigned in accordance with the contract-specific LCAT and requirements 

    • Perform other related duties as assigned 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

    Clearance: Active TS/SCI 
    Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 10+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity   

    • Proven experience managing large-scale technical projects and leading cross-functional teams 

    • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, from planning through implementation and evaluation 

    • Demonstrated ability to supervise experienced professionals and oversee multiple technical workstreams 

    • Skilled in resource management, risk mitigation, and vendor coordination 

    • Strong communication and leadership abilities for client interfacing and internal collaboration 

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms 

    • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies 

    • Background in systems engineering, software development, or infrastructure project management 

    • Experience in proposal writing, business capture, and client relationship development 

    • Technical writing skills and familiarity with contract management and compliance processes
