As a DevOps Engineer IV, you will play a critical role in designing, automating, and optimizing infrastructure and deployment solutions to enhance software development, testing, and release processes. You will be responsible for implementing automation tools and frameworks that support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) to accelerate development cycles. Working as an emerging authority, you will develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges, ensuring system security, reliability, and efficiency. Your role will involve collaborating with software developers, engineers, and stakeholders to align development efforts with business needs while maintaining high operational standards. You will exercise considerable latitude in determining approaches to problem-solving and infrastructure improvements. 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure to support scalable and efficient deployment 

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand technical requirements and translate them into automated solutions 

    • Automate development, testing, and release processes to enable continuous integration and delivery 

    • Test and examine code written by developers, analyze results, and provide feedback for optimization 

    • Ensure system security by implementing best practices in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and compliance 

    • Identify technical problems, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and develop software updates and fixes 

    • Manage infrastructure projects and operational processes to enhance system performance and availability 

    • Design and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and scaling 

    • Handle code deployments across multiple environments, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum stability 

    • Monitor key performance metrics, diagnose bottlenecks, and implement strategies for system optimization 

    • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing opportunities for team members 

    • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards to ensure consistency across deployments 

    • Provide technical support to operational strategies aligned within your program and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across all program functions 

    • Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded 

    • Identify and forward to your leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth within your work area 

    • Participate in growth efforts as requested 

    • Ensure all contractual deliverables are met/exceeded to the customer's satisfaction 

    • Complete personal PDP and attend Company Meetings (with camera on) 

    • Within your program, build productive and positive professional relationships with clients 

    • Execute all contract requirements as assigned in accordance with the contract-specific LCAT and requirements 

    • Perform other related duties as assigned 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

    Clearance: Active Secret clearance 
    Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree with 8 - 10 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6 - 8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or IT operations 

    • Extensive experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools 

    • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation 

    • Strong expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including their DevOps tools and services 

    • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes 

    • Advanced scripting and automation skills using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell 

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack 

    • Strong knowledge of security best practices, threat detection, and incident response strategies 

    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and DevSecOps principles 

    • Proven ability to lead and mentor junior DevOps engineers while driving best practices across team
