Exiger’s Risk Team is looking for a talented Senior Python Engineer to join. As a member of the Product org, you will work with engineering team leadership, product management, infrastructure and operations teams as well as our growing team of engineers to innovate and expand our product offerings as well as delivering backend features/functionality. Ideal candidates will have demonstrable experience as a high impact individual performer, delivering scalable, secure applications leveraging Python, Javascript and other web-based technologies in a team-based, agile environment. Candidates should enjoy experimenting with new technologies and tools and mentoring less experienced team members.
What You’ll Do:
- Design the implementation of key product features using descriptions, graphics, sample workflows, and interactive mockups.
- Assist in breaking down product features into smaller, implementable elements.
- Provide development estimates to support operational planning, pricing and proposal activities.
- Design, develop, and test web applications/components using Python, Javascript and other web technologies.
- Work as both an individual contributor and/or as a technical leader within the development team to deliver roadmap designated products, features and technology.
- Work within an Agile/Scrum-based environment and be instrumental in analyzing and breaking Epics/Stories down into smaller, deliverable units of work.
- Stay current on/introduce technology and domain trends, frameworks and cutting-edge technology.
- Mentor junior team members to assist in team technical development and growth.
What You Need:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a hard science.
- 5+ years of experience in a senior engineering team role.
- Experience with the following technologies are required: Python, SQL, microservices.
- Experience with the following technologies are a nice to have: Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Angular.js, JSON, React. Experience working with Git and BitBucket.
- Experience building global multi-tiered systems with web-facing aspects.
- Must be able to obtain (or preferably currently have) a security clearance.
- Automate manual processes
