We are looking for a dedicated Senior Software Engineer (PHP) to join our team in Armenia!  

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (PHP) who wants to work on real technical challenges. You will work on high-load systems, large datasets, and production services that are used every day. 

In this role, you will have strong ownership of your work. You will not just implement tickets - you will take responsibility for building reliable, maintainable systems and improving existing ones over time. 

What You’ll get to do: 

Build and Improve Core Systems

• Develop and maintain high-performance PHP services using modern frameworks and native PHP when needed.

• Improve and refactor legacy systems to make them more stable, scalable, and easier to maintain.

• Contribute to technical improvements that positively impact system performance and reliability.

Design Scalable Services

• Build and maintain APIs used by internal and external systems.

• Design scalable service-based or microservices solutions.

• Work on systems that handle large amounts of data and complex logic.

Work with Data

• Design and optimize MySQL databases for performance and reliability.

• Write efficient queries for high-load production systems.

• Help improve overall data structure and performance 

Engineering Standards

• Write clean, clear, production-ready code.

• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

• Help improve development processes and engineering standards.

• Contribute to testing, CI/CD, and system monitoring.

What we’re looking for: 

• 7+ years of experience with PHP in production environments.

• Experience working with and improving legacy systems.

• Strong knowledge of MySQL (schema design, indexing, query optimization, performance tuning).

• Experience designing APIs for real-world systems.

• Experience working with high-volume or data-heavy systems.

• Experience with distributed systems, message queues (RabbitMQ, Redis, Kafka), or asynchronous processing.

• Ability to mentor other developers and maintain high coding standards.

• Experience working with large analytical datasets (Big Plus (Optional)).

• Experience with ClickHouse (Big Plus (Optional)).

• Experience building services with Go or Node.js (Big Plus (Optional)).

• Clear communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving mindset.

• Ownership and accountability for your work.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, DevOps).

• Adaptability to changing technologies and requirements.

• Ability to handle and resolve conflicts professionally.
