Senior Cyber Security Engineer (Remote)

Prerequisites:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 2 to 4 years of proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer, demonstrating expertise in securing cloud-hosted applications.

• Strong understanding of SaaS security principles, data protection, and privacy regulations related to sensitive user data.

• Demonstrated proficiency and experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Expertise in cloud security hardening, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), IAM, EDR, MDM, SAST, DAST, and the implementation of DevSecOps principles, firewalls, ZTNA.

• Thorough understanding of cloud security principles, web application security vulnerabilities, and common cyber security attacks.

• Proficient in programming and scripting languages.

• Proficiency in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and the establishment of robust observability platforms are considered advantageous.

• Relevant certifications such as CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or equivalent are a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, self-driven with agility, adept at adapting to a dynamic fast-paced environment, and possesses effective communication and leadership skills.

Your Responsibilities:

• Execute the design, implementation, and management of security measures for our cloud-hosted web application, mobile app, and third-party integrations, drawing on deep expertise in the field.

• Conduct thorough security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and address potential risks in our systems.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate security into the software development lifecycle, ensuring secure coding practices and adherence to best practices.

• Implement enterprise scale cyber security solutions in alignment with security strategies, and secure configurations for cloud infrastructure.

• Monitor and respond to cloud security alerts, incidents, and events, proactively mitigating risks and make continuous improvements.

• Develop and enforce robust security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry best practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and threats in cloud security, providing insights to enhance our security posture.

• Assess and ensure the security of third-party integrations, collaborating with vendors to maintain a secure data exchange environment.

• Lead the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans.
