EverCommerce is looking for a Sr. Manager, People Technology & Innovations to join our People Innovations & Insights Team. This critical role will primarily focus on overseeing and supporting the Workday platform while leading a team of consultants in the design, build, testing, and rollout of Workday projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in managing Workday in a public company environment, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations and robust change management practices.

In this role you will need the technical ability to understand system requests, have strong customer service skills, the ability to work independently, and be a collaborator with our stakeholders. You are well organized, are a problem-solver, pro-active, and have a solid understanding of people programs such as performance management, time and attendance, recruiting and benefits. This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated and has a passion for building new processes. This role is a 70% functional and 30% technical split.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Workday, including HCM, Payroll, Absence, Benefits, Recruiting, and other modules.
  • Oversee the ongoing maintenance, configuration, and optimization of the Workday system to align with business needs and industry best practices.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex Workday-related issues, troubleshooting and providing solutions in a timely manner.
  • Lead and manage Workday projects, including system enhancements, new module implementations, and integrations with third-party tools.
  • Direct external consultants in project scoping, design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Ensure adherence to SOX compliance regulations, particularly in areas related to Workday processes, controls, and data security.
  • Establish and maintain a rigorous change management process for system updates, enhancements, and releases, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with internal audit teams to support SOX testing and remediation activities.
  • Drive the innovation of people technology by researching and recommending emerging tools, processes, and best practices that align with business goals.
  • Stay up to date on advancements in AI, machine learning, and other technology trends to identify opportunities for enhancing the Workday platform and related systems.
  • Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Participates in bi-annual Workday releases by reviewing release notes, educating end users on new functionality and making recommendations on functionality to deploy.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working with Workday, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Previous experience leading external Workday Consultants is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing Workday in a public company environment with a strong understanding of SOX compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in change management methodologies and practices.
  • Experience with innovation and integration of emerging technologies, such as AI and machine learning, into HR systems and processes.
  • Strong ability to research and implement cutting-edge technology solutions in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Hands-on experience in building business processes, time off plans, compensation plans and recruiting processes.
  • Experience with Workday Drive, BIRT templates, Notification Designer, Workday Studio, Workday Extend and Discovery Boards is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering Workday projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Workday certifications are highly desirable.

Where: Remote, US

The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation:

The target annual base compensation for this position is $140,000 to $150,000 in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
