Description
Everbridge is seeking a System Engineer with a strong software development background to join our team in Hungary. This is a remote/home-based role that can be based anywhere in Hungary.

In this role, you’ll improve the operator experience and streamline communication with field operators, including ambulance, fire, and police services.

We are looking for a motivated System Engineer who thrives in a mission-critical environment and is passionate about customer support. If you have a proven technical background and are dedicated to delivering high-quality outcomes, we want to hear from you!

What you'll do:

  • Designing and conceptualizing system architecture
  • Analyzing requirements and deploying Proof of Concepts (POCs)
  • Collaborating with global teams, including Project Managers and Developers
  • Deploying applications on Windows and Linux servers
  • Managing database deployments
  • Debugging software and resolving technical issues

What you'll bring:

  • Strong experience with Windows and Linux servers
  • Proficiency in Active Directory (GPO, user accounts)
  • Experience with web servers (IIS, Apache)
  • Knowledge of software update management and patching
  • Familiarity with SQL (MS SQL and PostgreSQL)
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash
  • Understanding of programming and debugging (.NET, C#)
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (Dell DAS)
  • Basic understanding of networking topology (DMZ, load balancer)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Clustering SQL AlwaysOn and Hyper-V (a plus)
  • Experience in GIS (a plus)

Additional Qualification

  • Fluent in French; strong English communication skills
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Windows and Linux environments
  • Familiarity with CAD/Command and Control Systems (a plus)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and innovative with a team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work well under pressure and support business-critical systems
  • Strong customer-facing skills with an ability to adapt to different cultures
