Job Description
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of Production and Technical Innovation, the Survey and Data Analyst plays a crucial role in survey research, programming, data processing, as well as analysis and report creation. This role is an analytical and technical partner to other teams, working on many research projects at a time. In addition, the team collaborates with the Operations and Recruiting teams to create an efficient and effective research project resulting in high quality data and results.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Data processing:
- Work with the design team and client care team to ensure final deliverables match expectations and can answer the research objective
- Review and clean the data
- Process the data and create data tables
- Report creation:
- Create and update PowerPoint report templates
- Populate reports
- Quality check reports
- Collaborate across teams to innovate and improve PowerPoint report templates
- Data upload and integration:
- Ensure consistent data upload to the Data Intelligence Database
- Program and quality check surveys:
- Review surveys for clear programming needs
- Send surveys to outside programming team, answer questions, and quality check work
- Occasionally program screener and questionnaire surveys with a focus on quality, accuracy, and efficiency
- Problem solve ways to set up the survey to capture data efficiently and effectively for the respondent, client, and research team needs
- Implement the recruitment plan including creating quotas and sessions
- Manage fielding of online surveys and home use tests to ensure quotas and goals are met on time
- Work with outside programming and sample provider vendors/partners based on the needs of the test
- Close and reconcile projects after the test day
Qualifications
Experience with the following programs:
- Microsoft Office 365 products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, One Note etc.)
- Rosetta Studio a plus or any other report population program
- Forsta (previously Decipher) knowledge a plus or any other survey programming software
- Power BI or other data visualization/reporting software
- WinCross
- XML or HTML
- Python knowledge a plus but not required
Required Skills:
In addition to the technical skills mentioned in the current description, the ideal candidate should demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on critical thinking and strive for error free work throughout all steps of a project
- Proven ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
- Collaboration skills to work well across different teams and enjoy working with others
- Effective quality management to look for ways to improve quality, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness
- Proactive project management of your assigned projects across several tasks, understand the project objectives, timeline, ask questions as needed
- Ability to think critically and recognize process improvements
- Mathematical skills, such as probability, statistical inference, and complex logical rules, to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions and basic Algebra to practical situations
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a four-year Bachelor of Arts/Science degree
- Or 5 years related business experience in a related field, such as data analytics, survey programming, project management, or consumer, sensory, and/or marketing research
