Eurofins IT Solutions India Pvt Ltd (EITSI) is a fully owned subsidiary of Eurofins and functions as a Global Software Delivery Center exclusively catering to Eurofins Global IT business needs. The code shipped out of EITSI impacts the global network of Eurofins labs and services.

The primary focus at EITSI is to develop the next generation LIMS (Lab Information Management system), Customer portals, e-commerce solutions, ERP/CRM system, Mobile Apps & other B2B platforms for various Eurofins Laboratories and businesses. With 54 facilities worldwide, Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) is the largest network of bio/pharmaceutical GMP product testing laboratories providing comprehensive laboratory services for the world's largest pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and medical device companies.

BPT is enabled by global engineering teams working on next-generation applications and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). As Site Reliability Engineer, you will be a key part of our cloud strategy, ensuring our IT systems operate effectively on the Azure cloud. This role reports to a Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

The SRE ensures that both internally critical and externally visible systems have reliability and uptime appropriate to user‘s needs and a fast rate of improvement while keeping an ever-watchful eye on capacity and performance. SRE helps in applying engineering approaches to have a better production systems and build own creative engineering solutions for operational problems. SRE also focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation. Follow Practices such as limiting time spent on operational work, blameless post-mortems and proactive identification of potential outages factor into iterative improvement that is key to both product quality, and interesting, dynamic day-to-day work.

Specific Assignments:

• Build, operate and manage the Azure platform
• Study, evaluate, and leverage cloud capabilities to support business value creation.
• Implement Cloud patch management and policy enforcement
• Run our infrastructure with Kubernetes, VMs.
• Respond to cloud incidents and provide support to service engineers
• Environment configuration including Azure blueprints
• Design, build and maintain core infrastructure resources to allow scaling.
• Plan the Cloud infrastructure roadmap to accommodate the growth and needs of the business.
• Work to identify repeatable actions to document and improve process that leads to automation.
• Debug production issues across services and levels of the stack.
• Build performance and operational effectiveness metrics to allow data-driven decision making
• Maintain operational compliance include budget and costs

Skills required:

• Think about systems - edge cases, failure modes, behaviours, specific implementations.
• Know your way around Windows, Azure and Power Shell.
• Strong knowledge on Networking and network infrastructure.
• Have strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, YAML, CAKE).
• Strong proponent of documenting things so you don't need to learn the same thing twice.
• Have an urge to build automation and tooling so that you never have to do the same work twice.
• Have experience with various Cloud providers like Azure, AWS, GCP etc., their systems, products

     and APIs.

• Have an enthusiastic, go-for-it attitude. When you see something broken, you can't help but fix it.
• Have an urge for delivering quickly and iterating fast.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 6 years of experience with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience in Azure cloud in a multiple region environment

Stack:

• Azure cloud platform, Python, Powershell, YAML, Network infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
