Job Description

In a nutshell
We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join the IT Application Monitoring and Observability team at Eurofins. This global team supports over 62,000 employees by collecting, processing, and visualizing data to ensure smooth IT operations. You will play a key role in developing data-driven applications, microservices, and leveraging DevOps practices to ensure robust system observability.

Where will you be based and what business will you support?
You will be based in Barcelona, Spain, working within Eurofins GSC Spain, and reporting to Cristian Bulgaru. You'll support global IT operations across the Eurofins Group.

How can you help us?
By leveraging your expertise in Python, SQL databases, and DevOps principles, you will:

• Develop microservices and data-scientific applications.

• Work with SQL (MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and Elasticsearch for data storage and retrieval.

• Apply Bash scripting and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Create effective data visualizations and contribute to system design using C4, UML, and ArchiMate.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to implement reliable, high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications

Are you our kind of extraordinary?
You have:

• Proven experience in Python for both data science and backend microservice development.

• In-depth SQL knowledge (MSSQL preferred) and Elasticsearch familiarity.

• Experience with DevOps tools: Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, CI/CD.

• Bash scripting capabilities.

• Familiarity with modelling languages like UML, C4, and ArchiMate.

• A strong problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills.

• The ability to explain complex topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A proactive, detail-oriented attitude with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

What else should we know about you?
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or have equivalent practical experience. You’ll be joining a fast-paced, global team where adaptability, curiosity, and collaboration are key to success.
