What is this job about?

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at EthonAI, you hold an engineering position that will directly engage with our customers, understand their pain points, investigate their data, and leverage your insights to shape factory operations. You will work cross-functionally with partners across Product, Engineering, and Sales, using a data-driven approach to ensure we are empowering our customers to get the most out of our software tools.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

Your Roles & Responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers, including visiting their factories, to understand and empathize with their pain points.

• Use EthonAI's tools to provide proofs of value and additional insights to customers.

• Perform custom analytics on real-world data to drive user adoption and prove value to the customer.

• Improve the production software in collaboration with engineers and customers to solve customers’ problems.

• Work cross-functionally with the product, engineering, and sales teams to provide the customers’ point of view, to help us perfect our platform and product offering.

Your Experience & Skills

• You hold an academic degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Manufacturing Engineering or Machine Learning. A Master's degree for recent graduates, but a Bachelor's backed with real-world experience can also work.

• You have a background in IT consulting and/or software engineering.

• You enjoy directly interacting with customers to solve their problems.

• You have a working knowledge of Python and SQL.

• Demonstrated ability to use data to understand customer pain points.

• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English and German to communicate fluently with our customers.

• Experience with IoT applications that run on-premise and in the cloud is a plus.
