About this opportunity,
Are you a hardworking Senior Java Engineer! We are looking for you to be a senior member within a team of Java engineers building scalable, highly available network management features for 5G networks. You will be working as part of a multi-functional team, developing full-stack features in an agile environment.
What you will do
- Work as part of an agile team delivering key MRs and working across a number of support requests.
- Will be part of the important database mediation space working with a successful agile team.
- Responsible for delivery of user stories, testing, bug fixes and support requests.
- As a senior member in the team, you will be responsible for cultivating and training junior team members.
- As a senior member of the team, you will represent the team in demos and be a voice for the team in meetings with stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvements of products and processes.
- Develop competence in technical domain.
You will bring
- A demonstrable record in technical leadership in a JSE and JEE-based software development team
- Experience with cloud deployment (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices
- Hands-on experience of configuration, deployment, and optimisation of microservices (Spring Boot, JBoss)
- Experience with API level testing and familiarity with TDD / BDD
- Experience with Database Management systems
- Experience with highly concurrent systems/distributed systems
- Excellent Trouble shooting skills.
- Remote Debugging
- Linux Basics
- VM / Kubernetes deployments
Additional Requirements
- Experience building APIs with REST
- Security knowledge: Secure coding principles, CI vulnerability scanning, JEE security
- Experience working with graph databases (Neo4J)
