About this opportunity:

Join a product development team working on complex telecom software, where you will help improve product quality, reliability and system behavior. Our Product Enigneering Unit CCI (RAN Compute & Cloud Infrastructure) is one of the main R&D units within Ericsson’s Radio Access Network domain. The unit is accountable for Ericsson products, including Baseband, Street Macro and Site solutions, both for SW and HW, over the full lifecycle. CCI is a competence center for common design functions (e.g. digital ASIC and FPGA, PCB layout, power, mechanics, thermal, interconnect, synchronization, security) and tools. At R&D Center Poland we develop SW system and design solutions for baseband, interconnect, security and site products. We address telecommunication business needs from around the globe by delivering innovative software (e.g. 5G/6G functionalities) meeting the highest telco quality. 

In this role, you will support the investigation and resolution of technical issues identified during internal testing and in customer environments, while gradually building understanding of product architecture, system behavior and software development practices.

What you will do:

• Investigate technical issues identified during internal testing and on customer sites
• Support root cause analysis and verification of fixes
• Design, implement and test small software improvements
• Develop and maintain unit tests and automated test cases
• Use approved AI-assisted tools to support learning, troubleshooting, code understanding, testing and everyday engineering tasks
• Collaborate with developers, testers and system experts across technical domains
• Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering best practices
• Build product knowledge and contribute to continuous quality improvements

The skills you bring:

• Basic to good knowledge of C++17 or later versions
• Basic experience with Linux, Git and Gerrit
• Analytical thinking and willingness to solve technical problems 
• Openness to using AI-supported tools and modern engineering practices 
• Curiosity and motivation to learn and grow in a complex product environment
• Good communication skills in English (B2+, written and spoken)
