This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining a scalable RedHat Linux and software infrastructure, including RedHat Linux servers, NetApp storage, Citrix/Exceed remote access, and IBM LSF job scheduler. It also involves automating infrastructure, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing technical support to Ericsson Silicon staff. Your work will ensure stability and efficiency in the Ericsson Silicon development environment.
What you will do
Design & Automation:
• Design & maintain a scalable RedHat Linux and software infrastructure.
• Automate the infrastructure using scripting & configuration tools.
• Align solutions with business/strategic goals.
Operations & Support:
• Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and patching of the Linux infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Monitor system performance and implement solutions to optimize performance of the RedHat Linux servers and IBM LSF using CLI, Grafana, and ELK/OpenSearch software.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, colleagues and hardware developers.
Security & Compliance:
• Implement & maintain security measures for data & systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies & standards. ¨
• Conduct security audits & assessments.
Documentation & Collaboration:
• Document configurations, processes & procedures.
• Work with hardware developers, CAD teams, and internal/external stakeholders.
• Work in cross-functional teams
Skills you Bring
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong RedHat Linux admin and networking (TCP/IP, routing).
• Proficient in Python, Bash, and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
• Experience with SCM tools (Git, Gerrit, GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Experience with remote access solutions (Citrix, Exceed).
• Knowledge of monitoring and log analysis tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, OpenSearch).
• Understanding of IT security and LDAP authentication/access management.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with LSF, GridEngine, or Slurm for HPC environments.
• Proficiency in cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and virtualisation technologies.
• Experience with containerised deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with managing and optimising Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB.
