Equifax is seeking a creative, high-energy, and driven Software Engineer with a strong data focus and hands-on development skills to work on critical projects related to billing usage reconciliation and reporting. You will join a talented team of engineers working with cutting-edge technology to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes across multiple cloud platforms. What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze billing usage data from various sources in GCP and AWS.

• Query and compare billing transaction counts between GCP and AWS to ensure consistency and identify discrepancies.

• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using reporting tools like Looker to provide insights into billing data.

• Proactively identify and suggest automation opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in billing processes.

• Develop and implement automated solutions using Python to streamline billing reconciliation and reporting tasks.

• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to understand their reporting needs and ensure accurate and timely delivery of information.

• Apply modern software development practices (e.g., CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code) to ensure efficient and reliable reporting processes.

• Participate in technology roadmap and architecture discussions to improve billing data management and reporting systems.

• Triage and resolve issues related to billing data and reporting systems.

• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint planning and retrospectives.

What experience you need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.   

• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with BigQuery.

• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools like Looker.

• Proficiency in Python and experience with scripting for data analysis and automation.

• Experience working with GCP services (e.g., Cloud Storage, BigQuery).

• Experience working with AWS services, including S3 and RDS.

• Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
