This role in the Global Data Office will work with technology, product management, data analytics, compliance, privacy and others to plan, design and execute on the principles of managing Equifax’s data as a product. 

This role will assist with data product ideation, strategizing and management of offerings such as the Data Product Marketplace. Additionally, they will champion global data literacy and run engagement activities.

Equifax has a hybrid work schedule that allows for 2 days of remote work (Monday and Friday), with 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) every week.

This role will work the required onsite days at our Equifax office Alpharetta or midtown ATL.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute on a comprehensive data enablement strategy that aligns with the enterprise data strategy and business goals working under leadership guidance. 

  • Collaborate with global business leaders to develop the organizational operating model, roles and responsibilities required to realize the enterprise data strategy and goals.

  • Lead development and maintenance initiatives of strategic data products and services.

  • Oversee and manage data products from ideation to launch and ongoing maintenance and enhancements. 

  • Develop business cases, frameworks, business models, pitch decks. Design wireframes/ prototypes.

  • Create integrated roadmaps and execution plans, prioritize development, create and manage product backlogs, define metrics and key results and deliver data products.

  • Perform research, make strategic recommendations, collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for data driven innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Champion data literacy, build communities of practice and run engagement activities.

  • Plan, facilitate and lead workshops, meetings, brainstorming and ideation sessions.

  • Lead and participate in meetings and other working routines coordinating with data, IT, product, and analytics teams, offering up solutions when appropriate.

  • Develop a training strategy and plan. Create materials and train teams on data strategy and the supporting roles, responsibilities, operating model, data  capabilities, products and services.

  • Prepare compelling communications, presentations, newsletters, and use other mediums to convey key messages to multiple levels of the organization including senior leadership.

What experience you need

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline required; Master's degree preferred; Equivalent experience will be considered.

  • 5 - 7 years of data strategy development, data enablement, product management, and/or consulting experience working with data, including financial services data.

  • Experience designing user personas, user journeys and scoping a backlog.

  • Experience in planning and facilitating training, workshops, and other learning end enablement activities.

  • Experience leveraging design thinking methodologies and tools to drive collaborative execution.

  • Experience with Agile, product, project and work management methods and tools (Aha!, Jira, ServiceNow).

  • Experience developing/improving and implementing business strategy, operating models, and business capabilities (people, process, and IT).

  • Experience preparing high quality communications across a variety of mediums and creating Google Slides/PowerPoint presentations for and presenting to Senior Leadership.

  • Advanced in creating PowerPoint and/or Google Slides.
     

What could set you apart

  • Experience with SQL and BI Tools (Looker, BigQuery, Tableau, etc).

  • Strong analytical orientation, with an ability to identify and define problems, extract key information from data to test and verify the cause of the problem, and develop solutions.

  • Familiarity with global and regional data sharing and privacy laws and regulations.

  • Ability to develop analyses of data products and capabilities, as well as market and competitor data products and capabilities. 

  • Understanding of the lifecycle and development of data products (acquisition, prep, hypotheses, modeling, analytics, evaluation, deployment, operations, and optimization).

  • Ability to develop and improve the strategy for a given data product or capability, and communicate it to others.
