What we’re hiring for:  

We are a growing fintech organization looking to add a Software Development Engineer in Test for our Global IT Operations team! 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:   

  • Reviewing requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback 
  • Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases 
  • Planning and coordinating testing activities, preparing reports to communicate outcomes of quality assurance activities 
  • Preparing quality assurance policies and procedures 
  • Designing, developing and executing automation scripts 
  • Identifying, recording, documenting and tracking bugs 
  • Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved 
  • Developing and applying testing processes for new and existing products 
  • Tracking quality assurance metrics and statistics 
  • Staying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies and assuring ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements 
  • Communicating technical information, both written and verbal, effectively to other team members, teams and customers of varying technical experience 
  • Working collaboratively with other team members, teams and customers on projects, and other similar or related tasks.  
  • This is not an exhaustive list, and your duties and responsibilities will also include any incidental and administrative duties as are reasonably required or reasonably desirable for the performance of the duties and responsibilities set out above. 

What experiences and skills are necessary to be successful in this role:  

  • Previous experience in backend Java and JUnit 
  • Proven record with large complex projects 
  • Ability to read, write, listen, and speak English with at least business fluency.
