What You'll Do
We’re looking for a Lead UI Programmer who is passionate about games and well-versed in C++ and UI development. The Fortnite Player Investment team is responsible for building systems that challenge and reward players. In this role, you'll start as a hands-on contributor to player-facing Fornite UI and pick up increasing people leadership duties as your team grows.
In this role, you will
- Work closely with art and design leads to ensure that UI meets aesthetic and functional requirements while attending to every detail, especially with regard to compliance, layout, and design
- Serve as a leader by example and mentor to other developers in your team
- Architect, plan, and implement new UI systems while optimizing and fixing bugs in existing UI systems
- Contribute ideas toward all aspects of the game’s production and development
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure that UI meets aesthetic and functional requirements
What we're looking for
- Exceptional C++ programming skills
- Experience developing UI features for games across multiple platforms
- Enthusiasm for leveling up other developers through coaching and mentorship
- Unreal Engine development experience
- Passion for games and great user experiences
- Keen analytical mind and mature problem-solving skills
