We are seeking a skilled Data Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in transforming raw data into structured, high-quality datasets that drive business insights and value. Your primary focus will be on leveraging SQL and other tools to provide clean data sets to end users, modeling data in a way that empowers end users to answer their own questions. Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex datasets that enable actionable insights for different business units. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Write, test, and optimize complex SQL queries to handle large datasets and ensure high performance and accuracy.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by developing and executing rigorous testing processes. Identify and address data quality issues proactively.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, transformations, and datasets to facilitate understanding and reuse.
  • Serve as a domain expert on data models and address questions quickly and accurately
  • Collaborate on data strategy to build trust in information and capabilities to use data as a strategic asset across the organization
  • Continuously optimize and improve data infrastructure for performance and scalability.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests and provide troubleshooting assistance to technical teams.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance data engineering capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and relational database design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in data transformation tools like dbt (data build tool)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with Domo
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data storage and processing.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
  • Experience working in a SaaS environment or with property management software.

Currently, Entrata hires in Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Texas, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Tennessee for Exempt roles and Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Texas, North Carolina, and Florida for Non-Exempt roles.
