The Role: 

Entegris is seeking a Senior Customer Quality Engineer to implement quality assurance program to ensure quality production of products consistent with established standards. This position is located at the Entegris – Tokyo/Geino/Remote, Japan. 

In this role you will: 

The Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) role is dynamic, technical and cross-functional. CQE’s interact at multiple levels and with multiple contact points within the Customer, Entegris and Supplier organizations. This role is high impact, high output and high visibility that requires a calm-assertive demeanor and capability to manage multiple ever-changing priorities. Within this role, the PACE value competencies are regularly required for success: Engage as guided with customers, Fab Technology Engineer (FTE), sales and factory/product/supply chain/quality teams. 

Primary Responsibilities:  

• Technically respond to the customer with understanding of the supported products, including standard data analysis, driving 8D investigation and root cause strategies.  

• Participate in varying levels of engagement with customers and company teams on Problem Solving, Change Management, Customer’s Document reviewing, VOC for NPI process managing and Internal Audits, Project Development, Product Support and Development Programs as well as many other cross-functional tasks and projects that are aligned with Entegris and Customer goals.  

• Be part of a global team that is designed to improve success of Entegris with our customers.  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams at varying levels and varying degrees of complexity across a vast range of products, regions and companies. (customers and suppliers). 

• Demonstrate excellence in planning, execution, discipline, learning, leadership, and teamwork (exemplify Entegris PACE values) 

• Provide support for various documentation expectations such as business process documents, item tracking, performance reporting and continuous improvement project management. 

Traits we believe make a strong candidate: 

• Bachelor or above of Science Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Physics or Electric/Electronic Engineering; or related technical field preferred. 

• Experience in an engineering role in the areas of quality, process, equipment or materials within the semiconductor industry. Areas of interest include PVD/ CVD, CMP, Photo, Etch, Diffusion, Implant, BCD and Liquid/Air/Gas Filtration & Purification. Precursors related process experience is a plus. 

• Experience managing issues and projects between internal stakeholders and customers with experience in escalation management and project management focused on closing gaps between company and customer.   

• Experience with applicable quality tools such as pareto, FMEA’s, SPC, histograms, trend analysis, process mapping, design of experiments, cause and effect diagrams, 8D problem solving methodology. 

• Experience working from home / remotely and collaborating with colleagues, customers and suppliers in virtual meetings is beneficial.  

• Ability to communicate verbally and formal writing in English 

• Flexibility to work non-standard hours and alternate work shifts to balance workload across a North America and Asia scope of responsibility. 

• Experience with working and communicating between North America based manufacturing facilities and Asia based support teams and customers.  

• Ability to travel 10% to 30% domestic and international  

• Advanced skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel/ vlookup, Word, Power point, and Project) 

• Positive attitude and passionate with a proactive nature

Success for the CQE role is measured by both quantitative and qualitative means that include both Customer and Entegris KPI’s that require CQE support and oversight as well as subjective interpersonal ratings from customers and internal stakeholders that are vital to the overall success of the CQE role. That is being measured in combination with how these results being achieved:
