The Role:
Our site in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be full-time, 6 months in duration.

What You’ll Do:

• Utilize SolidWorks Electrical and DraftSight for electrical drawing updates.

• Support prototype, NPI, and production build activities.

• Assist Manufacturing Operations with troubleshooting, design clarifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Assist with electrical design reviews and validation activities.

• Support product line standardization of control panels, schematics, and electrical designs.

• Participate in projects focused on design efficiency, quality, and process improvement.

What We Seek:

• Pursuing BS or MS in electrical engineering, Mechatronic engineering, or related engineering field.

• Experience with 2D and/or 3D CAD software

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Eligibility:

• Must be a currently enrolled student

• Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June

• Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program

Compensation: $20-$30/hour range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
