Product Engineer – Yield Engineering, Statistical Process Control and Data Analyst

Job Summary:

Product Engineer owns of all aspects of Product’s performance from the concept development to high vol production. The Product Engineer aligns customer requirements with internal specifications. This position shall review the manufacturing process and validate adherence to all product specifications and define/lead/drive yield and quality aspects including various product improvement initiatives and change management. In addition, this person shall directly and indirectly interface with customers on technical issues throughout the sales/NPI lifecycle. Product Engineer is to enable an effective SPC implementation for our Production Line. He/she will work closely with cross functional teams to develop SPC solutions to manufacture batteries during High Volume Manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Lead yield and drive yield improvement across all process zones in the production lines
• Analyze manufacturing process data to ensure maximum adherence to product specification
• Identify sources of process and product non-compliance through failure analysis, data mining and data analysis, experiments and drive for corrective and preventive actions based on findings
• Work collaboratively with customers & process teams to resolve product performance issues
• Drive cost and performance enhancement initiatives
• Interface with customer and R&D teams to ensure successful integration of Enovix cells into specific devices/applications
• Negotiate and manage documentation of product specifications
• To drive and to champion Statistical Process Control (SPC) implementation with the process team for all relevant processes in the Penang facility
• To lead the team on effective SPC implementation and to define process improvements through a PDCA approach
• To lead active SPC reviews with process owners on a timely basis to enable proper process control and trend detection in preventing non-conforming product
• To create high level SPC dashboards together with the process team for real time monitoring of key chart performances
• To be an expert on utilizing Enovix identified SPC software and to provide guidelines to the team on the software usage Analyze manufacturing process data to ensure maximum adherence to product specification

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in an Engineering/Electronics or in a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in Engineering
• Experience in Product Engineering, Product Quality, or Yield Engineering is required
• Knowledge of Li-ion battery technology is highly desired
• Experience with SPC, JMP or other data analysis software.
• Experience in Power BI /Tableau or Python scripting languages is highly desired
• Good technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
• Proficiency in Statistical Process Control principles and practices
• Hands-on experience with setting up SPC program in high volume manufacturing
• Have experience driving SPC reviews & action plans with cross functional teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivation and results oriented mindset are essential
