30712 – JUNIOR DRILLING ENGINEER

At Eni, we are looking for a Junior Drilling Engineer within Eni Abu Dhabi B.V. in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for developing well design and layout, optimizing investments and applying the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety and environmental protection. You will also draft drilling plans and support its execution providing engineering advice and updating, when necessary, well design and execution plans.

As a member of the Wells Operations Department you will be responsible for:

• Preparing well data sheets
• Designing and selecting well-head equipment
• Drawing up drilling programs
• Obtaining relevant data, carrying out analysis on site and recommending immediate actions as necessary 
• Carrying out full engineering analyses of rig site data and preparing regular well reports
• Monitoring daily progress of well operations and costs, comparing actual costs with cost expenditure proposals and recommending changes or improvements to rig work techniques
• Liaising with specialist contractors and suppliers, such as cement companies or suppliers of drilling fluids 
• Monitoring safety and ensuring the good maintenance of the well 
• Establishing and administering drilling and service contracts 
• Coordinating and supervising the work of the drilling team 
• Undertaking engineering design and the planning of wells (including development work) 
• Working with multidisciplinary professionals to evaluate the commercial viability of the well and monitoring progress during drilling
• Ensuring that all activities are carried out in full compliance of Eni procedures and best HSE practices, demonstrating personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment through:
  • Adherence to Eni Abu Dhabi HSE Policy and procedures
  • Adherence to HSE guidelines
  • Identification of HSE hazards in the workplace.
  • Reporting of HSE Accident/Incidents/Near Miss.

This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:

• Engineering or science degree
• 3 years of Oil & Gas drilling experience
• At least 1 year of well site experience as Drilling Supervisor or Well Site Engineer
• Certifications in drilling engineering technologies
• Intermediate level of English language
• Good interpersonal and communications skills
• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Suite
