The role?

The Head of Products, Fluid Power & Valves is responsible for the strategic, commercial, operational, and financial leadership of the Fluid Power and Valve business across multiple locations throughout Australia. The role provides end-to-end accountability for business growth, profitability, operational excellence, safety performance, customer satisfaction, and workforce development. The General Manager will lead multidisciplinary teams delivering hydraulic, pneumatic, valve maintenance, overhaul, integrity management, hose management, engineering, procurement, new system manufacturing and field service solutions to customers across the energy, mining, utilities, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the national business strategy for Fluid Power and Valve products and services.
• Deliver sustained revenue growth, profitability, and market share expansion across Australia.
• Own full P&L responsibility for the Australian Fluid Power and Valve business
• Drive margin improvement, pricing discipline, working capital management, and cost optimization
• Ensure consistent delivery of valve maintenance, repair and overhaul services, PSV certification, hose integrity management, hydraulic system support, new hydraulic system manufacturing, flushing, testing, installation, commissioning, and engineering services.
• Drive operational excellence through standardized processes, KPI management, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead commercial growth strategies across all regions and locations.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key clients, OEMs, EPCs, contractors, and industry partners.
• Identify new market opportunities within oil & gas, LNG, mining, power generation, renewables, and industrial sectors.

Experience Requirements

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree - Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of leadership experience within Fluid Power, Hydraulics, Valves, Industrial Services, Energy Services, or related industries.
• Demonstrated success managing multi-site operations and large geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong commercial, operational, and financial management experience with full P&L accountability.
• Significant experience in oil & gas, LNG, mining, industrial, or energy sectors.
• Proven business development and key account management capability.

  Preferred

• MBA or postgraduate business qualification.
• Certified Fluid Power Specialist or equivalent industry certification.
• Experience managing valve service workshops, hydraulic service centers, or rotating equipment operations.
• Strong understanding of API, ISO, AS/NZS, and pressure equipment standards.
