We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with 7+ years of professional experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in full-stack development, cloud-native solutions, and scalable web architectures.

This role requires advanced experience with PHP, TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, NestJS, React, AWS, Laravel, and WordPress. The candidate will play a key role in designing technical solutions, driving architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, and delivering high-quality applications in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance full-stack applications.
• Lead the architecture and implementation of modern web platforms and backend services.
• Develop responsive frontend applications using React and Next.js.
• Build robust backend services and APIs using Node.js, NestJS, PHP, and Laravel.
• Lead WordPress development initiatives including custom themes, plugins, and integrations.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Design teams to deliver business solutions.
• Drive technical discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Optimize applications for scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
• Contribute to AWS cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through technical guidance and best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in PHP and Laravel development.
• Advanced experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js and NestJS frameworks.
• Strong frontend development experience using React.
• Extensive experience developing and maintaining WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, ECS, or similar.
• Experience designing scalable RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, security, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies (CI/CD, IaC, Agile development)
• Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Docker, containerized environments, and deployment pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proactive mindset with strong ownership and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.
• Extensive experience using modern monitoring tools (Cloudwatch, DataDog, etc) and establishing metrics, monitoring, alarming, and dashboards
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience working in large-scale or high-availability production environments.
• Knowledge of web accessibility and frontend optimization best practices.
• Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineering teams.
