Cloud Engineer (AWS)

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Department: Malaysia Team

Day to Day :

 

1. Infrastructure & Deployment

• Manage and optimize multi-cloud environments across AWS and OCI platforms.
• Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure using services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, OCI Compute, Autonomous Database, and Functions.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, and OCI Resource Manager.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeStar, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and OCI DevOps.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives including resource right-sizing and performance tuning.

 

1. Networking & Connectivity

• Design and manage hybrid connectivity solutions using AWS Direct Connect and OCI FastConnect.
• Configure and maintain VPCs, Transit Gateways, VCNs, DRGs, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
• Ensure secure and efficient cross-cloud communication and routing.

 

1. Security & Governance

• Implement IAM policies, roles, and access controls across AWS and OCI.
• Enforce governance using AWS Control Tower and OCI Landing Zones.
• Monitor environments using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, OCI Logging, and Cloud Guard.
• Manage DNS configurations using Route53 and OCI DNS.

 

1. DevOps & Automation

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes.
• Develop scripts and tools using Python for operational efficiency.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with Terraform and cloud-native services.

 

1. Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with application, security, and architecture teams.
• Document architecture designs, SOPs, and incident RCA reports.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices to stakeholders.
