As a Senior Android Mobile Engineer, you’ll be responsible for implementing complex software systems, leading development projects, and providing technical expertise. You will be a key contributor to the architecture and innovation of Empower’s mobile apps.

What you will do:

• Lead the development of rich, interactive customer experiences for deployment on Android devices utilizing data visualizations to implement real-time financial information optimized for the mobile environment
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and prioritize software requirements
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality code standards
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and bottlenecks
• Contribute to the improvement of development processes and software architecture
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, code comments, clear and efficient code

What you will bring:

• 4+ Years of experience working in mobile Android development
• Deep understanding of software architecture and design principles.
• Expertise with Java and Kotlin
• Previous experience designing and deploying to Google Play
• Strong understanding of concurrency, memory management, and touch/gesture interfaces

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with a focus on software development
• Previous experience with test automation/continuous integration for Android apps
• Effective leadership and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Base Salary Range

$101,600.00 - $143,525.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
