About Team

Emplifi empowers customers to interact with their own consumers across the entire social journey with best-in-class tools and AI-powered capabilities. Content creation and publishing, analytics, UGC, influencer marketing, community management, live commerce, and care — do it all with Emplifi.

This position is within the Syndication Team. Syndication allows customers and non-customers alike to display their native consumer-generated reviews on other customers’ websites. This feature is a boon to the brand, the retailer, and the end consumer alike. An increase in reviews has been proven to increase conversion and raise consumer confidence.

What You'll Do Here: 

• Work with a team of onshore and offshore developers to maintain our legacy crawling mechanism

• Write in Domain Specific Language to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our suite of syndication services

• Troubleshoot issues that arise in making a data source site live in our system

• Improve our processes and documentation as inspiration arises

• Monitor and troubleshoot the operation of our suite of syndication services

• Maintain tooling that supports our suite of syndication services

• Grow into a team leadership role

What You'll Bring to Us: 

• At least 1 year of professional experience at the junior developer level or a strong portfolio of personal projects

• Experience with Chrome Dev Tools

• Experience with web front-end: Javascript / HTML / CSS and/or ETL scripting/processes

• Experience with Git and GitHub

• Comfort with both creative problem-solving and some repetitive tasks

• Extreme attention to detail

• Comfort with a steep learning curve

• Interest in leading a team

• Comfort with ticketing systems (i.e. Jira or YouTrack)

• Experience with scripting languages (i.e. bash)

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Familiarity with the following tech is a plus:

• Microservice architecture

• Groovy / Java / OOP

• Node.js

• Puppeteer / Cheerio

• SQL

• Air Table
