  • Lead with integrity

  • Have fun every step of the way

The Opportunity
Our client is a luxury travel company that designs and operates high-value, custom trips and events. They are a small team running a substantial operation, with internal systems that support programs, travelers, inquiries, payments, vendors, communications, reporting and daily operations. Quickbase sits at the center of the business today and holds much of its business logic, workflows and operational knowledge.

The company is now building the next stage of its internal operating platform: a broader operational layer that connects and improves existing systems while adding better workflows, automation, scheduling, integrations, dashboards and internal tools. The goal is not to rebuild Quickbase with newer technology, but to understand how the business runs today, preserve what works, simplify what can be improved and modernize the platform without disrupting daily operations.

You will become the technical owner of the client's internal business systems and a key owner of this new platform. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity that combines hands-on implementation with strategic judgment: deciding whether the right answer is a Quickbase improvement, an automation, an integration, a custom feature, or a clearer process. You will play a central role in shaping and evolving the platform as the company's technology roadmap expands.

What you'll do

  • Map the existing Quickbase applications, including tables, relationships, formulas, reports, dashboards, roles, permissions, Pipelines and workflows.

  • Work with sales, operations and leadership to understand how work moves through the company and surface undocumented business rules.

  • Maintain and improve Quickbase as the new platform develops around it, covering data structure, formulas, permissions, data quality, de-duplication, auditability and performance.

  • Build workflows and automations for intake, follow-up, handoffs, approvals, reminders, deadlines, pre-trip and post-trip processes, recurring checks, reporting and exception handling.

  • Design and build integrations between Quickbase and CRM, email, telephony, transcription, document, finance, vendor and travel services, defining source of truth, sync rules, record matching, conflict handling and failure recovery.

  • Build modern dashboards, role-specific workspaces and web-based tools that make everyday work faster and clearer.

  • Help decide what should stay in Quickbase and what is better handled by custom software or another system.

  • Apply AI selectively to practical tasks such as transcription, extraction, classification, summarization, search and drafting.

  • Work safely with sensitive client data using access controls, secure credentials, logging, monitoring, audit trails and staging environments, and document key systems, decisions and processes.

Your qualifications and experience
Must haves

  • Strong relational database skills, including data modeling, keys, relationships, normalization and data integrity.

  • Meaningful experience building or maintaining a structured business system. Quickbase is preferred; deep experience with Salesforce, another low-code platform, a custom ERP/CRM or a complex relational application can also fit if you can learn Quickbase quickly.

  • Experience with formula logic, multi-step automation, scheduled processes, workflow rules and cross-system integrations.

  • Real API engineering experience: REST, JSON, webhooks, authentication, data mapping, error handling and retries.

  • Strong experience with at least one production programming language, such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or PHP.

  • Modern web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience with a frontend or full-stack framework.

  • Sound production judgment: testing changes, planning for failure cases, protecting live data and using staging or controlled environments.

  • Practical experience with modern AI or language-model APIs (deep AI specialization not required).

  • Ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly to non-engineers and work independently with a remote team.

  • Working hours with strong overlap with Pacific Time.

  • Advanced English required.

  • Familiarity with AI tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Speech-to-text or transcription pipelines.

  • Operational reporting and analytics.

  • CRM integrations and data migration.

  • Background in travel, hospitality, events, logistics or another operations-heavy service business.

  • Security or privacy work involving customer information.

What we expect from you

  • 100% alignment with our core values!

  • Ability to take ownership of projects from start to finish

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating great user experiences

What we offer

  • Remote/flexible work

  • Highly competitive compensation in US dollars

  • Opportunities for personal and professional development; mentorship, coaching and training as needed

  • The opportunity to be part of an amazing, multicultural community of tech experts

Why work with us?

  • We pride ourselves on our core values and have proven that putting people first creates a thriving and collaborative work environment.

  • We seek to accommodate and balance individual needs with client needs, understanding each one of us is unique.

  • We offer benefits such as remote/flexible work, selective paid training, mentorship programs, referral programs and more.

  • We are selective in the projects we take on to ensure our teams are engaged in challenging, meaningful, enjoyable opportunities that will provoke creativity, innovation and growth!
