Software Developer

Location: Mandaluyong, National Capital Region, Philippines; Hybrid

Job Summary:

If you are a professional looking for an opportunity to work with the global Emerson Systems and Software organization, this is a stimulating opportunity for you! As the Software Developer, you will contribute to the development, enhancement, and support of a cloud-based software platform that helps power industrial automation environments. In this role, you will work within a collaborative Agile team, applying modern software engineering practices to build scalable, reliable, and high-quality solutions while helping modernize an established SaaS platform.

 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain software capabilities across user interface, service, API, and data layers.

  • Enhance and modernize web applications using technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS, and related frameworks.

  • Develop and maintain server-side components, services, and RESTful APIs using .NET and C#.

  • Create maintainable, high-quality code supported by automated testing and engineering best practices.

  • Investigate and resolve technical issues across application, service, and database environments.

  • Collaborate with product management, quality engineering, user experience, architecture, operations, support teams, and domain experts to deliver impactful solutions.

  • Participate in solution design, estimation, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Utilize Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows to support software delivery and team collaboration.

  • Apply AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve efficiency, quality, and innovation while validating outputs through sound engineering practices.

  • Contribute actively within Scrum, Agile, and SAFe frameworks, supporting planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and delivery commitments.

  • Take ownership of work from concept through implementation, validation, deployment, and ongoing support.

  • Support platform modernization, technical debt reduction, defect resolution, and product enhancement efforts.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies, development methodologies, and industry best practices.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience developing and supporting full-stack web applications in production environments.

  • Demonstrated experience in .NET, C#, and modern web development technologies, including JavaScript or TypeScript.

  • Experience working with relational databases, SQL, and application performance analysis.

  • Ability to understand and contribute effectively to established codebases while delivering high-quality enhancements and solutions.

  • Experience applying software engineering best practices, including automated testing, version control, code reviews, and continuous integration.

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience with React and legacy JavaScript frameworks, including Backbone.js and Marionette.js.

  • Knowledge of Oracle databases, schema navigation, SQL optimization, stored procedures, or related database development practices.

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated quality controls.

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and responsible implementation practices.

  • Experience developing server-side .NET solutions for Industrial IoT (IIoT), IoT, or industrial software applications.

  • Understanding of secure software development, identity and access management, observability, and vulnerability remediation.

  • Exposure to SCADA, industrial automation, distributed control systems, telemetry, operational technology, or related environments.
