Senior Project Scheduler

Location: SZÉKESFEHÉRVÁR, FEJÉR, Hungary; Hybrid

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize integrated project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 in collaboration with global Emerson sites and engineering teams.
  • Create and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activity codes, calendars, resource assignments, and project baselines aligned with project requirements and organizational standards.
  • Build detailed engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and delivery schedules to support project execution.
  • Perform critical path analysis and proactively identify schedule risks, constraints, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) project data, including backlog, bookings, sales pipeline information, and variation orders.
  • Collect, validate, and update project performance data, including progress, forecasted completion, and cost-related inputs.
  • Monitor project performance against approved baselines and analyze schedule variances to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Evaluate the impact of scope changes and project variations on schedules and delivery commitments.
  • Develop recovery plans and scenario-based schedule analyses to support decision-making.
  • Generate schedule reports, milestone tracking, KPI dashboards, S-curves, and forecast analyses for project teams and leadership.
  • Conduct schedule risk assessments and trend analysis to improve project predictability and outcomes.
  • Partner with project managers, risk management teams, and cost control professionals to integrate planning and forecasting activities.
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) processes and continuous improvement of project control methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, customer expectations, and project planning standards.
  • Facilitate planning workshops, schedule reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced planners and schedulers.
  • Support schedule-related claims analysis, forensic reviews, and the development of planning documentation and best practices.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Experience developing and managing complex project schedules in a project-driven environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques and schedule performance analysis.
  • Experience creating project forecasts, milestone tracking reports, S-curves, and schedule performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of project controls principles, including planning, forecasting, risk assessment, and performance reporting.
  • Ability to analyze schedule data, identify trends, and recommend solutions to project challenges.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in engineering, manufacturing, procurement, delivery, or project execution environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools used for data analysis and visualization.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and schedule accuracy.
  • Demonstrated coaching, mentoring, and leadership capabilities.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience supporting large-scale EPC, industrial, energy, nuclear, infrastructure, construction, or manufacturing projects.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and project performance measurement.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence and visualization tools.
  • Expertise in schedule risk analysis, scenario planning, and recovery schedule development.
  • Experience supporting contract compliance, claims analysis, or forensic schedule reviews.
  • Familiarity with global project environments and collaboration across multiple sites and regions.
  • Professional certifications related to project controls, scheduling, or project management.
