Project Manager

Location: Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Lead the execution of assigned projects from award through completion in accordance with Emerson PMO processes.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, commercial, technical, and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution.
  • Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Manage project changes, variation orders, and commercial opportunities to improve project profitability.
  • Lead customer kick-off meetings, progress reviews, inspections, and project closeout activities.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, and business partners through effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Track project KPIs and provide regular status updates to internal management and external customers.
  • Ensure accurate project documentation and successful project handover.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in industrial manufacturing, EPC, flow control, valves, instrumentation, or related industries.
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong customer communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of project financial management and change order management.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel based on project requirements.

 
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Experience with engineered flow control products, including control valves, actuators, and regulators.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, ASTM, IEC, and ISA.
  • Experience managing complex international or EPC projects.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and best practices.

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful execution of customer projects from order award through project completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements and Emerson's Project Management Office (PMO) standards. Working closely with customers and cross-functional teams, you will manage project scope, schedule, cost, risks, and stakeholder communications while driving customer satisfaction and business profitability.
