Graduate Engineer Trainee

Location: PUNE, MAHARASHTRA, India; Hybrid

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be;
Design and develop mechanical systems, including piping, structural components, and equipment layouts for metrology and blending systems • Review customer specifications to define project scope and ensure alignment with internal standards and engineering practices • Prepare and validate engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, bills of materials, and design calculations • Perform engineering analyses such as pressure drop, stress, and structural calculations to optimize system performance • Collaborate with electrical, instrumentation, quality, and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution • Lead technical discussions with customers, address queries, and manage deviations from specifications • Support procurement activities by preparing material requisitions and reviewing vendor proposals and documentation • Monitor vendor performance and participate in design reviews, follow-ups, and escalation processes when needed • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of project documentation and records • Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT), pre-FAT activities, and project close-out processes • Provide technical guidance to designers and support continuous improvement in engineering practices • Contribute to audits, kick-off meetings, and lessons learned reviews

For This Role, You Will Need:
 
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience • Proven experience in mechanical engineering within process industries such as oil & gas, energy, or related sectors • Strong understanding of piping design, structural systems, and industrial equipment • Familiarity with international engineering standards such as ASME, ANSI, API, ISO, or similar • Experience in engineering documentation, design calculations, and technical problem-solving • Ability to use engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or equivalent • Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a dynamic project environment

 
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience working on metering, blending, or transfer systems • Knowledge of flow measurement technologies for gas and liquid applications • Experience with stress analysis tools such as CAESAR II, STAAD, or similar platforms • Familiarity with vendor coordination and technical evaluation processes • Exposure to non-destructive testing (NDT) and welding practices • Experience supporting FAT, SAT, or on-site inspections • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, improve processes, and enhance project outcomes.
